VAT REFUNDS

Starting with the second half of 2000, we can provide support for both Romanian hauliers and private persons making trips abroad, in order to refund the value added tax corresponding to goods and services bought in foreign countries. So, from countries such as: Austria, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, Great Britain and Sweden we can recover the VAT, of course under terms and conditions prescribed by the fiscal authorities for each corresponding country.

Advantages:

- VAT in these countries is maximum 20%;

- Fuel price is more or less equal in the majority of European countries transited by the Romanian trucks;

- It is possible to enter from Austria / France in Germany with full capacity of the original fuel tanks of the trucks.

A simple calculation leads us to the conclusion that almost the fifth part from the fuel price is refundable. From this reason more and more transport companies from Romania avoid making expenses in countries from where is not possible to recover the VAT, giving instructions to the drivers in this respect.
